MINNESOTA MEN’S GYMNASTICS REMAINS UNDEFEATED IN SHAKOPEE
Minnesota Men’s Gymnastics continued their impressive winning ways with yet another victory at the annual John Roethlisberger Iceberg Invitational held at Shakopee High School in Shakopee, MN. Demonstrating remarkable depth and versatility, Minnesota entered two complete teams into the competition. Their solid performances were rewarded as both squads secured the top spots, earning the first and second place team trophies and further solidifying Minnesota’s reputation as a powerhouse in collegiate gymnastics.
The meet was fiercely competitive, with Iowa pushing hard throughout the event and ultimately finishing a very close third, just behind Minnesota’s teams. Their strong showing highlighted the high level of talent present at the invitational and made for an exciting contest for spectators and athletes alike.
Wisconsin also participated in the event, bringing a partial team to the meet. Despite not having a full roster, the Wisconsin gymnasts displayed determination and skill, contributing to the spirit of sportsmanship that defines the Iceberg Invitational. The annual gathering once again celebrated the camaraderie, athleticism, and competitive drive of collegiate gymnastics, with Minnesota’s dual triumph standing out as a testament to their commitment and preparation.

In the Individual event results and the All Around, Minnesota again brought home some significant hardware.
The All Around Results looked like this:
1. Raif Shcaffner, Iowa ………….……73.85
2. Peter Davis-Ross, Minnesota……..73.25
3. Joey Pennell, Minnesota…………...71.25
4. Jake Porrey, Iowa…………………...70.90
5. Leo Feuer, Minnesota………………69.10
Minesota took home top honors on 4 of the 6 events
First place on Pommel Horse went to Freshman KJ Richardson with a score of 11.75
First place on Still Rings went to Senior Owen Frank with a score of 13.50
First place on Parallel Bars went to Senior Owen Frank with a score of 12.65
First place on High Bar went to Junior Jack Gagamov with a score of 13.10.
Minnesota also went on to sweep the top three spots on these four events as well!

MINNESOTA TAKES TWO TEAMS ON THE ROAD THIS WEEKEND
February 7th will be a busy day for Minnesota as they travel in opposite directions to take on multiple GymACT Teams on the road. One team heads East to Temple University where the Owls will be celebrating their 100th anniversary of their program while hosting the Fred Turoff Invitational. The Saturday afternoon GymACT session will have the Gophers facing off against some powerhouse programs with the likes of Arizona State, Indy-hio, New York Alliance, and of course, the hosts – the Temple Owls. Action gets underway at 4:00 pm ET and you’ll be able to watch our live stream of the action on our Instagram Page.
While one team is doing battle on the East coast, the other team will be facing off against the Rocky Mountain Mavericks in their home gym of Xtreme Altitude, located in Lafayette, CO. Action here gets underway at 6:30 pm MT and this meet will also be live-streamed live through the Minnesota Gymnastics Instagram page.

WE’LL BE HOSTING THE MN GymACT INVITATIONAL VALENTINE’S DAY AT HUMBOLDT HIGH SCHOOL
Our big home meet will be held on Saturday, February 14 at 6:30 pm where Minnesota will host Iowa, Northern Illinois, & Kansas City. This GymACT competition is unique in that the top three teams will win PRIZE MONEY for their performances.
Here’s the breakdown:
1st Place team gets a check for $1500
2nd Place team gets a check for $900
3rd Place team gets a check for $500
Not only are bragging rights on the line in this meet, but so is a chance to raise some money for your program based on your performance. We hope to see all of our fans there!
