MINNESOTA MEN’S GYMNASTICS EMBARKS ON EASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS, LOOKING TO MAKE IT FOUR STRAIGHT TITLES

The team will depart for the Broward County Convention Center in Ft Lauderdale, FL on Friday, April 25th, where they will be competing for their fourth GymACT Eastern Conference Championships against the Indy-hio Hyenas, the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Temple Owls, the Florida Storm, the Georgia United team, the Northern Illinois Huskies, and the New York Alliance team. The competition will be held on Saturday, April 26th, with the competition proceeding at 5:10 pm EST. The GymACT Eastern Conference Championships is in its third year, being held in conjunction with the USA Gymnastics JD Eastern National Championships. This partnership with USAG has been an instrumental one, and having this type of exposure in front of all the best gymnasts in the country is one reason GymACT continues to grow in size and popularity. In two weeks, we’ll be heading to Salt Lake City to compete at the GymACT Nationals, which is being held in conjunction with the USAG JD National Championships.

To say this season has been a challenge would be an understatement, but thanks to the resilience of the team members and the cooperation of the local gyms we’ve been training at, this season has the potential to be one for the ages. The support of our friends and alumni of the program has been nothing short of amazing, and the future continues to look bright as we get closer to finding a home for the team. More details will be forthcoming on that topic once we get things finalized. Hopefully, we’ll be inviting everyone to a big open house at a new gym to house Minnesota Men’s Gymnastics!

MINNESOTA MEN’S GYMNASTICS SHINES AT THE

GymACT EAST vs. WEST ALL-STAR MEET

Minnesota was extremely well represented at the 2025 GymACT All-Star competition that was held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh, PA, back on Friday, April 4th. “Minnesota had 21 out of the 30 routines represented on the East All-Star team,’ said head coach Mike Burns. We definitely brought a Minnesota flavor to the meet.”

When the dust settled, the West was again victorious, but the margin continues to decrease, and it’s only a matter of time before the East becomes victorious. Special shout-out to Temple Head Coach Jesse Kitzen-Abelson, who was named the head coach for the Eastern All-Stars. The Minnesota contingent fared well in the rankings. The top three finishers on each event were awarded medals. But Minnesota was well represented in the top 6 on each event:
