A six and a half road trip to the KCI Expo Center had MMG coming to town with a full arsenal of gymnasts; enough so that we were able to field two full teams to compete against host KC United, Northern Illinois, and Arizona State. MMG's first Team was Minnesota Men's Gymnastics while the second Team was MN GymACT. When the dust settled, here were the final rankings:

  1. Minnesota Men's Gym.    317.30

  2. Arizona State                   303.70

  3. MN GymACT                    297.20

  4. Kansas City Twisters        284.20

  5. Northern Illinois                201.50

MMG also swept the top three places in the All Around with Kellen Ryan taking top honors and breaking the 80-points barrier for the first time this year:

  1. Kellen Ryan         80.40

  2. David Grossman  78.10

  3. Ben Letvin            77.70

Minnesota gymnasts took home top honors on all six individual events with Henry Counts winning on FX for the second week in a row. Jack Gagamov shared the title on pommel horse with ASU's Zack Litwin. Minnesota's Kellen Ryan took the top spot on Still Rings and Vault while freshman David Grossman won the Parallel Bars title. Sophomore Owen Frank finished up the individual event dominance with the top spot on high bar for the second week in a row.

The Team's energy and support for one another was really showcased as both teams put up some outstanding performances throughout the course of the competition.

BIG MMG shoutout to Maritsa & Kyle Pedersen (freshman Luke Pedersen's folks) who hosted all the GymACT teams to a fabulous pizza party after the meet at a local pizza parlor. Their hospitality and generosity was greatly appreciated by all!!!!
